ESC Engineering were engaged to provide all the electronic security systems design for the Albemarle Australind accommodation camp project. This included access control, CCTV, wireless locking, duress alarm and intercom systems. All systems were integrated to ensure a holistic security monitoring and response solution was in place for camp operators. CCTV placement and selections considered the role of each camera ie. recognize, observe and subject ID, and was cognisant of the “Enough is Enough” 2022 report into safety of women in the FIFO industry.

ESC Engineering leveraged their expertise in utility site security system design to ensure the best systems were selected to suit the site’s requirements. Having been responsible for security designs for large scale utility and airport sites, we have extensive knowledge of how to detect and monitor various threats and control the movement of persons and vehicles within secure areas.

The design for this 800 person camp was finalised within a tight timeframe to ensure our client was able to have heads on beds in time for their operational requirements.
